Our advice is Stay in La Manzanilla as long as you can and trust that this craziness passes.If you must go, get US dollars (Aztec bank in Melaque does currency exchange – bring passport) including some change for vending machines.Double check your hotel for free shuttle – it might not actually be available.Have 2 different credit cards and don’t rely on a debit card. Covid antigen test much cheaper in Manzanillo as well as Covid PCR test in Bellingham which if you are travelling form US to Canada.Remember that the border guards have very strict rules and are not flexible or helpful unless pushed, cajoled and cried upon.And lastly, taking a taxi all the way home was quite pleasurable!
